SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) trasmette messaggi email attraverso Internet dal 1982 (RFC 821, poi RFC 5321), operando in chiaro o con STARTTLS opzionale. In ambiente CTF e lab, la porta 25 espone tre attack surface critiche: &lt;strong&gt;user enumeration&lt;/strong&gt; via comandi VRFY/EXPN/RCPT TO, &lt;strong&gt;relay abuse&lt;/strong&gt; per spam/phishing se misconfigured, e &lt;strong&gt;credential harvesting&lt;/strong&gt; tramite SMTP AUTH.
